Dayo Koleowo

Dayo is a Partner at Microtraction, based in Lagos, Nigeria.

As an early employee of Microtraction, an early-stage angel investment fund in Africa, Dayo was instrumental in the firm’s early investments in top African startups like Cowrywise, Buycoins & 54gene. His focus lies in finding and backing remarkable African tech entrepreneurs building Africa’s future.

He is passionate about the economic growth of the African continent and believes her acceleration to economic sustainability will be achieved by empowering one of her biggest assets - the people.

Prior to joining Microtraction, he worked with the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Lands, Housing & Urban Development as a Quantity Surveyor and later with a Project Management Consulting Firm as a Project Analyst focusing on Public-Private Partnerships and Infrastructure Financing. He went on to co-found an online meal delivery startup in 2015.

Dayo’s interest lies in investments, entertainment and sports. He is a member of the Global Shapers community and a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, with a degree in Quantity Surveying.
