Rachel Balsham

Rachel Balsham is Deputy CEO of MFS Africa, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

MFS Africa is Africa’s largest digital payments hub, where Rachel heads up the Corporate Development function where she oversees investor relations, strategic partnerships, and brand. Prior to joining MFS Africa, she was a consultant with Bain & Co., where she worked on strategy and operations projects for telecom and financial services clients. She began her career at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, working on large-scale development grants in West Africa. She holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an AB from Smith College. She speaks fluent English and French, as well as basic Wolof.
