Ryosuke Yamawaki

Ryosuke is a General Partner of Kepple Africa Ventures, based in Nairobi, Kenya.

He is passionate about finding, supporting, and growing African startups that can scale across the continent and beyond.

From 2012 to 2016, he worked for Mitsui & Co., a major Japanese trading and investment house, engaging in physical commodity trading of metal resources and M&As for mining assets. His experience includes an acquisition deal worth $800 million of the world largest manganese mining company called SAMANCOR in South Africa from Anglo American.

Ryosuke holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Berkeley.
