Maya Horgan Famodu
Maya is the Founder of Ingressive and a Partner at Ingressive Capital, based in Lagos, Nigeria.
A Forbes 30 Under 30 entreprenuer, she founded Ingressive Capital, a $10 million venture fund focused on early-stage African tech, and Ingressive, a tech integration company that provides market entry services and tech research for corporates and investors, and operates their Africa strategy over time.
Ingressive Capital portfolio companies include Paystack, Tizeti, Ogavenue, Jetstream and OZÉ among many others.
Ingressive LLC has worked with over 50 venture firms and tech companies seeking to enter and operate in Sub-Saharan Africa. Past clients include Y Combinator, 500 Startups, New Relic, USAID, GitHub and Techstars. Clients have made over 30 investments into Africa-based tech, and several have started numerous joint ventures through Ingressive market entry services.
Maya attended Pomona College after completing the Cornell University Pre-Law Program, and worked within the banking sector with JPMorgan Chase. Before starting Ingressive, Maya conducted extensive emerging market economic research in Southern Africa and Latin America, taking students with her to explore keys to sustainable economic development. She also worked in private equity research, consulting with businesses looking to enter the West African market.
